Japan Pictures and Stories
Anyone who knows me knows that I love Japan and love to talk about it. It's funny in some ways, but I almost feel like maybe I was Japanese in a past life or something because it felt like home from the moment I arrived. Yes, it was different from America in so many ways, but I mostly embraced the differences. I took so many pictures and wanted to share them. The old saying about a picture being worth a thousand words is true for me, for whenever I look at my pictures, I remember the story behind it and the feelings I was experiencing that made me want to take a snapshot of the memory. Here are some of my favorite pictures and the stories behind them.
Ofuro - Rub-a-Dub-Dub, here is my tub
Inaka - Welcome to my rice fields
Yakyuu - You can get curry at a baseball game?
Tokyo - Several cities all rolled into one
Otera & Jinja - Kind of like going to church...but different
Takoyaki - You mean you eat octopus balls?
Kotatsu - Snug as a bug under a table
Hamamatsujo - Wow, a castle right here in my city
